LeMay School Of Real Estate courses are now acceptable for Appraisal Institute continuing education credit.
With revisions to the Appraisal Institute's Regulation 10 issued June 25, 2008, the Appraisal Institute formally began accepting continuing education from other providers as long as the course met certain requirements. The AI Continuing Education FAQ outlines the guidelines for recognizing courses approved for CE:
The Appraisal Institute will accept continuing education from outside providers if the programs meet a number of requirements.
* Continuing education cannot be a home study or correspondence course.
* The topics covered in the program must be on our list of creditable topics, which can be found here: Creditable Topics.
* For USPAP courses, the instructor must be AQB certified.
* If the program meets the requirements listed above, simply log the program online or submit the certificate of completion to the Designated Member Service Center
* Offering must be at least two-hours in length.
Our USPAP classes are the National USPAP courses, not equivalents, and are administered by AQB Approved USPAP Instructors. Our Beyond Paired Sales course is a creditable topic under "Analysis/Evaluation" heading, primarily under "Data Analysis" and "Market / Market Demand Analysis" subtopics.
The certificates we issue to each student upon successful completion or attendance of a course meet the guidelines for documentation and should be kept by the student who wishes to apply the course time toward their 100 hour CE requirement.
